Frequently Asked Questions
Will the project include traditional Korean dress?
Yes! We plan to feature modern, retro, and traditional Korean aesthetics!
Do I have to be or speak Korean to contribute?
Not necessarily, but we do expect each contribution to be thoughtful, well-researched, and respectful. There will be a Discord for contributors to discuss all things related to the project, including cultural sensitivity.
Will it be in Korean or English?
Our target demographic is largely Americans, and as such, it will be in English. This is solely because the creators of the project are American, and the tariff situation as well as other legalities make distribution in other countries difficult.
Is this project SFW? What is the rating?
The project will be strictly SFW, but may depict less modest outfits. It will depend on the relevance of the specific ensemble, but showing skin is not inherently grounds for disallowing it. No genitalia or full nudity will be shown, but we'd recommend it being consumed b those 16+.
Mods will be going over each entry case-by-case to determine if it is overly sensitive.
Will this artbook be physical or digital?
It will be a physical art book with optional extra merchandise. The current printing plans are an 8x10 inch book, 80lb glossy interior paper, 100lb satin cover, full color with inner cover printing, perfect bound, 72 page count, gold foiling on the cover.

Generally, you must be over 18, and no AI art is allowed. As of now we are only accepting 2D art or writing.

The artbook will consist of 3 parts, focusing on different time periods of fashion history.- Golden Age (2000s-Present)
- Dawn of KPOP (1980s-1990s)
- Hunter's Beginnings (Early 1900s or earlier)Each illustration will feature Huntrix and/or the Saja boys in iconic garments of Korean history. The book will also aim to feature writings from Korean artists and writers, as well as scholars in the field of fashion and/or Korean history.
Misc. Notes
- All staff and contributors must be 18+ years of age.
- Only 2D art and writing are accepted as of now.
- AI use of any kind is forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion if a contributor is found to be using it.

Contributor Requirements
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Contributors must have or be willing to create a discord account for communications
- Qualifications are not required but will definitely help. We would like to encourage submissions from those of Korean ethnicity, a strong firsthand experience with Korea such as being raised there, or those with an academic knowledge of Korean history.
- Page artists, particularly those of the groups stated above, can also optionally submit a one-page written piece.
- Keep us in the loop; turn in check-ins punctually, or ask for extensions at least a day in advance. If you ghost the project, you may forfeit your position in the zine.
Contribution Requirements
- Well thought out and respectful
- Well-researched
- Representing a specific outfit or concept from Korean fashion history, modeled by KDH characters
What you will be asked for
- A link to your portfolio with a minimum of 5 pieces. Acceptable links include Google drive, social media, your website, but not something that will require logging in to view (such as Instagram).
- At least one but no more than 5 pitches of what you would like to contribute in the project.

Bio: Hello everyone! I am an independent artist alley creator as well as a part-time kaigai idol and cosplayer, based in Michigan, US. This will be my first project of this type, but I was so inspired by the aesthetics and symbolism of the KDH movie that I couldn't resist!
